Kutch Culture is a label for art and craft brand. The elemental value behind Kutch-Culture is to give a global platform to Kutch and its art, where the idiosyncratic articles from the core of Kutch will be delivered to any corner of the world. Our vision is to promote and appraise the true art skill of Artisans worldwide. When thousands of families depend on craft for livelihood, we aim to generate livelihood opportunities for artisans and conserve the local crafts and culture.
Pooja Thacker is an engineer by profession. But her passion is art. When she blended the techniques of an engineer with the creativity of an artist, Kutch Culture happened! She born and brought up in Kutch-The Art & Craft place, she is surrounded by Unique Artisans. The luxury of a well-paid, stable IT job couldn't restrain her passion to connect to her roots.
She travelled to remote corners of the Kutch to feel, understand and experience the huge variety of ajrakh block printing, weaving, dyeing, embroidery, Bandhani, rogan art painting, copper bell techniques and much more, practiced by different communities. Inspired by the unique skills of various people, especially women, she determined to promote the Make in India concept & valued the true art skill of rural Artisans worldwide through Information Technology and making a difference in Artisans Life. As an entrepreneur, Pooja is proud of being born in Kutch. Kutch Culture helps her return to her roots. Combining her IT & Art skills she founded Kutch Culture-True Essence of Art.
